Making Friends with Tacos  

We are grateful for the students who worked with us this year. Most start work as strangers and then leave with new best friends. Sharing food is a vehicle for establishing new friendships and building meaningful connections - just check out Our Story. 

In more upscale restaurants, the family or staff meal is typically a group meal that a restaurant serves its staff outside of peak business hours. The restaurant provides the meal free of charge as a perk of employment. Typically the meal is served to the entire team at once, like a family. Because we are a fast-casual restaurant, we do not have the luxury of eating together, but our staff does eat for free, and we value that they love our food and connect every day. They often have their favorite Chaia pairings. Most recently, it has been this combination of tacos:

CHIPOTLE SWEET POTATO HASH

feta, arugula pepita salsa & cilantro - Vegan option available

SMOKY COLLARD GREENS

queso fresco, paprika salsa & watermelon radish

CITRUS ROASTED BEET

ricotta salata, cilantro-lime yogurt & fresh jalapeño

And, as the weather continues to warm, you will see some of these fade away as we replace them with more seasonal options for you and our Chaia family to enjoy.
